So I have this sundress that I bought a couple of years ago, and I had it on a couple of weeks ago and a friend said "those colors are INCREDIBLE!!" When I looked down at the dusty dark green, splotches of purple and pink, I immediately thought of dyeing some yarn in these colors. And so "That Sun Dress" was born. You must grab this one up and get to work on something fabulous. I picture this as a nice lightweight shawl, as part of a larger wrap, or a groovy pair of socks! This is dyed on my go-to sock weight, superwash merino and nylon, so it is wonderfully soft and super strong. Please keep in mind that due to the nature of hand painted yarns, each is an individual piece, and no two will match perfectly. There will be variations in tones, which adds to the unique allure of indie dyed yarns.
Weight: Sock/Fingering Base: DJ Prime Base Fiber Content: 75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon Yardage: 463yd (422m)/100g
Care: For best results, hand wash gently in cold water and dry flat, or machine wash gently cold, tumble dry low.
Colorway: That Sun Dress
I dyed this yarn with colorfast acid dyes, and although I really tried to show colors accurately, please note that they may vary slightly when viewed on different devices. All of my yarns have been thoroughly rinsed, and the colors do not run, however, due to differing chemical makeup and PH of water from one location to another, it is recommended that you wash your garment with like colors for the first couple of washes.
